The ALLRT (pronounced “alert”) protocol will soon open to patients currently involved in other ACTU studies. This trial will involve no new medication requirements but will ask that the individuals agree to be followed long-term for the purpose of evaluating clinical, virological, immunological and pharmacological outcomes associated with long-term treatment with antiretroviral medications. This study will provide valuable information on the long-term effectiveness of antiretroviral therapy. It will have an impact on those medications used to manage HIV disease well into to future and we are excited to have to opportunity to take part in this endeavor.
