On December 22, 1999, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease announced its renewal of funding for the Adult AIDS Clinical Trials Group (AACTG). The new grant will fund research activities for a five year period which began January 1, 2000. With this renewed funding, the University of Minnesota AIDS Clinical Trials Unit, one of 32 funded sites, will be able to continue its ground breaking work in HIV therapeutic research. We look forward to many advances in HIV treatment and greatly appreciate the continued community support.
