We are pleased to announce that Dr. Alejo Erice has been officially appointed Medical Director of the University of Minnesota AIDS Clinical Trials Unit. Dr. Erice was previously the Acting Medical Director. A native of Spain, Dr. Erice has been a staff member of the ACTU since 1989 and now also serves as the Director of the Virology Support Laboratory. Our patients benefit greatly from having such a dedicated researcher and clinician on our team. At the dawn of this new millennium, we are looking forward to making many more advances in the area of HIV disease and care under the direction of Dr. Erice.
