On May 15th, the Minnesota ACTU hired Karen Ross, RN to join our clinical nursing team. Karen joins the ACTU with a variety of critical care experiences, including working in the pediatric intensive care unit at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital for many years. While at Children’s, Karen was also responsible for training new nurses in the areas of hematology, oncology and newborn intensive care. Karen brings a deep sense of compassion and understanding to her work here at the ACTU. She was the primary caregiver for her brother who passed away from AIDS in 1994. Karen’s big smile and wonderful sense of humor will be a great asset to our clinic and our trial participants. We feel honored to have her as part of our staff.
