Influenza A, Influenza B, adenovirus and Respiratory Syncytial Virus are causing midwinter respiratory infections in the Twin Cities just now. The only good thing about this mixture is that when Influenza B occurs with some frequency, the flu season is usually drawing to a close. Let’s hope that’s the case this year. Although it’s too late in the season for flu vaccine, influenza A and B can be treated with antiviral drugs. Ask your doctor about this if your diagnosis is influenza.
