Now Open: A5209 – The High Cholesterol Study

High cholesterol is a common condition in HIV-positive people who are taking antiretroviral medications. The standard cholesterol treatment, statin medications, are often not enough to lower the cholesterol levels and decrease the risk of heart disease. Researchers in A5209 are looking for a safe treatment that works with statin therapy to lower the cholesterol in people on antiretroviral medications. See our Side Effects Protocols page for more details.
