Our laboratory has preliminary evidence that Influenza A is beginning to circulate in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Personal communications with other laboratories suggest the same. Please get your annual flu shot now if you haven’t already done so. I’ll update this column as soon as we have more information on the influenzavirus subtype causing these infections and the extent of the influenza activity.
